Welcome to the Aquatic Kingdom
We are excited to announce that bookings are now open for March, April, and May 2025 aboard M/Y Andromeda, heading to the pristine and uncharted Farasan Banks region in Saudi Arabia. This region is located at the same latitude as southern Sudan, and promises an unforgettable diving experience for you and your divers. After a spectacular diving season in 2024, we are delighted to continue exploring the Saudi waters this coming spring, and we would love to have you join us!
Diving in Saudi Arabia Is Not an Option, It's a Must
One of the most compelling advantages of diving in Saudi Arabia is the opportunity to experience untouched natural beauty. Unlike more established diving destinations, Saudi Arabia's underwater ecosystems remain pristine and unspoiled by mass tourism, offering divers a chance to witness the raw, unaltered beauty of the marine world.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia boasts a remarkable diversity of marine life. Its location at the confluence of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf results in a rich blend of marine species from both regions. Divers can expect to encounter a stunning variety of colorful coral formations, exotic fish species, and even the possibility of rare and elusive marine creatures. This high level of biodiversity makes diving in Saudi Arabia a unique and captivating experience for underwater enthusiasts.
Another compelling aspect is the sheer length of Saudi Arabia's coastline which is triple that of Egypt's. This extensive coastline offers divers an abundance of dive sites to explore, each with its own distinctive charm.
Ultimately, diving in Saudi Arabia promises to unveil a world that has rarely been seen before by the global diving community. With its untouched nature, diverse marine life, and vast coastline, Saudi Arabia emerges as an exciting new frontier for divers, beckoning them to embark on unforgettable underwater adventures and contributing to the growing appreciation of the Kingdom's natural treasures.
Why does Saudi Arabia stand out?
- Unspoiled dive sites - With fewer tourists and less exposure to mass tourism, Saudi Arabia offers an exclusive opportunity to encounter pristine waters, undisturbed coral reefs, and rich marine life in their natural habitat.
- Be a pioneer - Since the dive sites here are relatively unknown, these trips offer you to be among to first ones to explore the hidden treasures before they become too popular, and to present your clients a new and exciting destination.
- Tranquility - While Egypt's well-known dive spots have become quite crowded in the past few years, Saudi Arabia is a road less travelled, and the perfect choice for a calmer, more serene and intimate diving experience to connect with nature at its best.
- Time stands still - Saudi Arabia's coasts are still relatively unknown among divers, compared to Egypt's well developed coastline. This is an excellent chance to get a rare glimpse into what these waters might have looked like centuries ago. This means that the coral reefs and marine life are less exposed to the hustle of mass tourism.
- Easy travel options - Most large cities now offer non-stop flights to Jeddah, and the city is remarkably accessible from around the world.
- An excellent and exclusive diving program for the spring!

Explore Saudi Arabia's Hidden Underwater Gems in Farasan Banks
Discover the best of Saudi Arabia's underwater wonders with two exhilarating dive itineraries tailored for every season.
Farasan Banks is an area that encompasses many small islands, coral reefs, and sand banks, starting about 230km south of Jeddah near Al Lith, and stretching to about 250km. It actually covers 2 latitudinal degrees. These are complex groups of islands, dotted with deep-water channels that form a national park.
In the northern region of the Farasan Banks 4 tall peaks formed over time; Dohra, Marmar, El Jedir, and Malathu reefs. The peaks are virtually vertical and drop hundreds of metres into the deep. These formations are a lot smaller compared to the main reefs like Malathu, for example which covers an area of about 400m x 140m.
All the notes our divers took in their diver's logs are actual and real experiences they had encountered, broken down reef by reef. This area lies straight across from Sudan, so it was expected that underwater wonders and richness similar to Sudan's would appear here as well.
